Parnell for Congress: Donate Now!

As I mentioned earlier, Kleptocrat Rep. Don Young (R-AK) will face a primary challenge from Alaska's Lt. Gov Sean Parnell. Parnell's campaign site is finally up. You should head over there and drop a couple dollars to help unseat one of the most unethical members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

So we should run over and give money to Mr. Parnell because we can be assured that he is not a part of the culture of corruption that has gripped this country over the last 7 years? The culture of corruption that came to prominence with the rise of the Republican leadership of this country? The culture that brought us the "K" street memo, the largest deficit in the history of this nation (even accounting for inflation), and the use of executive privilege to shield the likes of Enron?

I am against torture.
Why would I vote for another republican?

I am against the curtailing of my civil liberties under the guise of 'security from the terrorists!'.
Why would I vote for another republican?

I am opposed to the repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act and the limiting of my right of habeas corpus.
Why would I vote for another republican?

I support the rule of law and oppose exempting my government and corporations from those same rules I must abide by.
Why would I vote for another republican?

I am for open government, honest government and the idea that no part of my government can commit acts in my name with out complete, transparent accountability.
Why would I vote for another republican?

While the Democrats are not my party of choice (nope, I am not a Democrat. Surprise!), the actions taken by the Republican party over the past 7 years lead me to ask not only why would I vote for another republican, but how in good conscious could I?

The only hope I have is that who ever is elected to congress, the senate and the presidency will investigate the actions of the past administration and congress and finally do what is needed to remove the stain that has been smeared on the good name of all citizens of this great nation.

Yeah. Your time is probably better spent googling random blogs and writing long, breathless, incoherent comments. Oh, and judging every party member by one administration you disagree with. Weren't we lectured during Bill Clinton's various scandals that that was an unfair thing to do?
