st. obama the corrupt?

2005: st. barack obama sworn in as the as illinois' junior senator.

2006: university of chicago hospital gets a $1 million earmark, requested by st. obama.

here's the fun part:

You know who works for the University of Chicago Hospital?

Michelle Obama. She's vice president of community affairs.

As Byron [York] noted, "In 2006, the Chicago Tribune reported that Mrs. Obama’s compensation at the University of Chicago Hospital, where she is a vice president for community affairs, jumped from $121,910 in 2004, just before her husband was elected to the Senate, to $316,962 in 2005, just after he took office."

obama may be able to give a speech and raise money, but he's a political amateur. as much as i disagree with sen. john mccain on some issues, there's no denying that st. obama will look like the empty suit he is when on stage with this man.
