sen. mcconnell on the house's fisa failures

sen. mitch mcconnell (r-ky) has an op-ed in the cincinnati enquirer today highlighting the failure of the house democrats to allow a vote on the senate version of a bill which created new guidelines for terror surveillance:
Even though an overwhelming, bipartisan majority in the U.S. Senate voted to extend this law, a majority of congressmen in the House indicated their willingness to do the same, and the intelligence director had been urging Congress to act for nearly a year, Pelosi chose to shut the House down and go on vacation instead.

it does look like the house democrats are about to cave, though.
